Get the full benefit of your NAIOPWA membership by participating in one of our volunteer committees. You'll develop lasting relationships with other business leaders, stay abreast of industry developments, and help shape the agenda of the state's leading CRE organization. NAIOPWA membership is required to participate on a committee. Community Enhancement

The Community Enhancement Committee is a dedicated team that plans our annual one-day community service project, benefiting a deserving local non-profit or government organization. This is your opportunity to collaborate with industry leaders, manage 400 volunteers, and coordinate with partners to create a lasting, positive impact on a local community. Be a part of driving meaningful change through this rewarding, hands-on experience!

Developing Leaders Committee

This committee organizes key initiatives such as Deal Maker events, a Mentor program, and various networking opportunities, all designed to foster growth, connections, and success for the next generation of industry leaders. The Developing Leader Committee is committed to shaping the future of commercial real estate in Washington State by supporting students and professionals aged 35 and younger.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

The DEI Committee champions diversity, equity, and inclusion within NAIOPWA by supporting the annual internship program, organizing two key events, and overseeing the CRE Scholarship program. The committee works to ensure that DEI remains a priority across all committees and programs within the association, fostering an inclusive and equitable environment for all members

Eastside

The Eastside Committee curates a diverse calendar of four annual events focused on property tours, education, and networking opportunities. These events are designed to engage and advance the Eastside community and the commercial real estate industry, providing valuable insights and connections for professionals in the region.

Government Affairs

The Government Affairs Committee is primarily open to funders, with limited opportunities for subject matter experts who are willing to donate their time to support our advocacy efforts. This committee plays an active role in both administrative and legislative processes, working to secure favorable political and legal conditions that advance commercial real estate activities in the region

Membership

The Membership Committee drives engagement by managing the popular Breakfast Buddy Program, organizing special member events, and coordinating new member groups. Acting as ambassadors for the association, the committee connects new and long-term members, fostering a sense of community and ensuring active participation. As the backbone of the organization, they play a critical role in enhancing the member experience and strengthening NAIOPWA’s network.

Night of the Stars

The Night of the Stars Committee organizes our prestigious annual gala awards ceremony, celebrating outstanding local real estate projects and companies for their community impact, market adaptability, innovation, and significant contributions to the region. This highly anticipated event highlights the best in the industry and honors those who are shaping the future of commercial real estate.

Programs

The Programs Committee is responsible for organizing our hallmark monthly Breakfast Events, which offer valuable networking opportunities alongside high-quality, time-sensitive educational presentations. These events are designed to advance the commercial real estate industry by addressing relevant topics and fostering professional growth within the community.

Property Tour

The Property Tour Committee organizes the annual hallmark tour that explores a thriving neighborhood across the Puget Sound region, highlighting multiple development projects linked by a common neighborhood. This event kicks off summer programming and features expert speakers and a curated tour route. 

South Sound

The South Sound Committee promotes membership in cities south of Seattle by developing educational programs, organizing property tours, and hosting networking events that address the unique challenges and opportunities within the region's commercial real estate market. Through these efforts, the committee fosters engagement and growth in the South Sound CRE community

Student Engagement

The Student Engagement Committee provides students with opportunities to connect with NAIOPWA and the CRE community through initiatives like the annual Real Estate Challenge, partners with DEI and DL"s to implement the student mentorship program, and various educational, networking events and opportunities. 

Sustainable Development

The Sustainable Development Committee enhances member knowledge of sustainable practices by showcasing the latest trends in sustainable development, presenting successful case studies and best practices within the industry, and contributing to our popular blog posts that keep members informed and engaged on sustainability topics.
